New Space Task Force
The New Space Task Force was formed in May to address the many questions that are coming up around our settling into and utilizing our new building. The task force is charged with developing processes to help clarify what persons and/or committees should address questions and make decisions. Some of our work involves identifying who should make decisions and other work involves determining whether new policies need to be developed for how to make decisions now and in the future.
We have received a variety of inquiries, some examples of which are how keys will be distributed, use of wall space for signage, communication and art work, and food policies. Several of the issues have been addressed by the task force, either by directing them to the proper persons to make the decisions or by developing a new policy, such as for key distribution. On Sunday, May 23rd, we also held a meeting about wall space usage, attended by 18 church members, the minister and the DRE, to gather information about needs and concerns. As we write this, we are developing a plan for wall space decisions.
