Thank you for your interest in planning an event at the Unitarian Church of Sharon.
Our sanctuary is that of a classical New England meetinghouse; its only adornments are the large windows open to trees and sky. Individuals of all religious persuasions have found this an ideal setting for ceremonies marking important life events: baby dedications, bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings and memorial services. Musicians prize the room’s excellent acoustics and our well-maintained Steinway grand piano, making the sanctuary a popular choice for recitals and concerts. The sanctuary has an occupancy capacity of 180.
The Vestry, on the lower level, is suitable for gatherings of up to 90 people. The room may be set up in various ways, and the use of tables and chairs is included in the rental fee. The adjacent kitchen may also be rented. It is not available for cooking, but if you plan to bring food, you will want to use it for last minute assembly and preparation or to make coffee. Use of the kitchen does not include appliances, dishes or utensils.
If you are interested in renting space, we recommend that you first check the Church Calendar to see if the date of your event is available. Then review the Rental Rates and carefully read our Rental Policies & Procedures, as the signed Rental Agreement will commit you to understanding and observing them.
Complete the Rental Request and email it to email@example.com or sign and mail it to the Church Office Manager at the address on the Rental Request form. Events at our church are facilitated by our Rental Coordinator. After confirming that the facilities are available on the day of your request, the Rental Coordinator will send you a Rental Agreement.
Please note that the reservation for your event is not confirmed on the Church calendar until you have returned both the signed Rental Agreement and a Rental Deposit.
