AIM Higher Cottage Meeting – Virtual Library

June 4 @ 7:00 pm – 7:45 pm

Agenda: discuss proposed changes to Vestry & kitchen; gather congregational feedback to prioritize relative to the larger scope of renovations.

At the Annual Meeting, the congregation will be asked to provide feedback on two potential priorities.

This advisory vote will help guide future planning as we continue to improve sustainability and consider the needs of current and future generations.

Raise the Vestry Ceiling & Move/Remove Columns

  • Improved acoustics for fellowship and coffee hour
  • More natural light
  • Greater flexibility of space
  • Preliminary cost estimate: $125K–$225K (roughly between 5% to 7% of total renovation cost)

Improve the Kitchen

  • Expanded opportunities for meals, outreach, and educational programs
  • More energy-efficient equipment
  • Replacement of aging appliances
  • Cost estimates are still being developed (likely less than 2% of total renovation cost)
