Not to Save Our Souls But to Grow Our Souls
In our work- and wealth-obsessed culture, we may confuse our self worth with our net worth. But the landscape of employment has changed drastically in our times, and we are reckoning with the impact of our economy on our selves, our communities, and our world. Our service this morning will reflect on the meaning of work with integrity given this difficult context.
The opening words this morning are from "River Call" by Rev. Manish K. Mishra- Marzetti.
There are two readings: an excerpt from "Revision" by Aurora Levins Morales and "What Work Is" a poem by Philip Levine.
