How a Young MLK Jr Made It Over and Great? Again?

Preacher: Adrienne Williams

Our speaker today is Adrienne Williams. Adrienne led last year’s MLK service and the congregation found it one of the most powerful services of the entire church year. Adrienne recently retired from her position as Director of Community Based Services at the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps. She is a musician, story teller, and social justice activist who, along with her partner Janet Walkden, has been active at the UU Church in Middleboro.  We are grateful to have her preaching at UCS again!

Adrienne will speak (and sing!) about how a young Martin Luther King Jr “made it over.” We will also examine how the the slogan “Great Again” can be viewed from different contexts and what it may represent to different people.
