Personal Reflecions of a Ministry

Preacher: Reverend Jim Robinson

Today’s recording begins with Jim Robinson’s dedication of the interlude (Maurice Ravel’s “Pavane” played by Mel Springer) to the people who regularly attended Sunday evening services at Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel in London England when Jim served as its minister. His dedication is a fitting prelude to his final sermon here at the Unitarian Church of Sharon.

In the sermon, Jim shares how religion in America, and specifically Unitarian Universalist, has changed during the past four decades. He also shares his personal conclusions, after 40 years in the ministry, about the place of spiritual community in human life.
